On July 19, 2022, Officers with the Monte Vista Police Department, Alamosa SWAT and Rio Grande County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 1123 W. Sickles, Monte Vista.
Detectives with Monte Vista PD obtained a search warrant for the residence based on social media posts depicting weapons and threats toward the public. Detectives were able to determine that several persons at that residence had warrants and were prohibited from possessing weapons.
Emilio Lucero, 18, Monte Vista, and a known resident of 1123 W. Sickles was arrested during a court hearing earlier in the day for violating conditions of his probation, based on information obtained by MVPD detectives with assistance from the FBI.
Ian Lucero, 39, another known occupant of the residence was taken into custody by Alamosa PD SWAT after refusing to exit the house. He was arrested and transported to the Rio Grande County Jail for seven outstanding warrants for drug and traffic offenses.
Amanda Granado, 38, Manassa, who was also in the residence but came out voluntarily was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Alamosa.
During a search of the residence, detectives found a loaded handgun and ski mask.
