On January 24, 2026, at approximately 12:22 p.m., deputies with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 6351 County Road 106.25 following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located one adult male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by emergency medical personnel to the Alamosa Emergency Room for treatment.
During the course of the investigation, Manuel Moreno has been identified as a person of interest in this incident. Moreno is considered armed and remains at large.
At this time, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident, and there is no known threat to the general public.
